Assignment 4 - Radio Show

Wow~~ we just finish our recording in studio from 4pm to 6pm 13th april !!

Thank you Mr Ajoi on teaching us on the control and everything, and everything running smooth.

The studio's recording is really good, and the recording comes out with a great quality.

We record few times with different tones on the same sentences, so that we can edit later on.
Afterward, we'll be editing the sound and start to add sound effects to make a complete radio show.

We actually playing a drama about the race between the rabbit and the tortoise, which we are very familiar with, and we actually modified the story and become a new experience to audience.

Stefan Tan Tong Wei is over emotion while recording his part~~ as the DJ, and person who brief about the drama we are playing in our radio show.


Tan Jaw Yuh is recording his part. He is actually playing his role as a tortoise. An old tortoise, we should say that. So acting the voice of an old tortoise speaking style is quite a new challenging that Jaw Yuh had and experience.


So as Wong Jia Jun, he is actually acting the young and active rabbit, which is so confidence in the race between him and tortoise, so he is actually not focus and serious enough in the race.
He is also playing the role to record the PSA part, in which we are promoting "Go Green" and recycle as our main idea. In order to create the awareness and important of recycle.

Overall we are having fun on recording the whole drama, and the recording sound is very clear, compare with our normal recorder.

Again thank you Mr Ajoi on actually putting effort on teaching us everything inside the recording studio, which made us feel very comfortable inside the recording studio.

Information of the tracks:

Track 1 – Human Voice

Stefan Tan is our talent for this recording. Unfortunately we can't get any H4

to record so we decided to use handphone to record since the outcome is not that

bad as we think. We record in a silent room with no fan is on. The script he is

doing is from a website and it is more like a advertising speech.

Track 2 – Foley Sound

First foley sound is the Sawing Sound. We are using guitar and guitar pick to

create the sawing sound. Use the guitar pick and scrub on the sixth guitar

string then you will get the sawing sound.

Second foley sound is the Wind Blowing Sound. There's no tools or whatever special

need stuff to do this. All we did is use our fingers scratching our bed with

different speed. Then we'll the wind blowing sound. The speed of the wind is

depends on the speed you scratch on the bed.

Track 3 – Ambient Sound

This is a simple recording. We place our recorder really near to drain then we

started our recording for 30 minutes.

Track 4 – Musical Instruments

Once again Stefan Tan is our talent for this recording. He played guitar, plugging

and strumming. We record this sound in a silent room too.
